Methodist Nurses Earn Advanced Nursing Credentials

Nurses at Methodist Medical Center have completed advanced training and educational requirements to earn specialized nursing credentials.

Those nurses include Brad Robinson, RN of Morton who completed his Critical Care Nursing certification provided through the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.

Amy Smith, RN of Morton, Deb Dellinger, RN of Peoria and Shawna McCord, RN of Morton received their Oncology Nursing Certification provided through the Oncology Nurses Certification Board.

Cindy Hale, RN and Director of Quality and Safety for Methodist received her Healthcare Quality certification through the Healthcare Quality Board.

Monica Scheuer, RN of Peoria received her Bariatric Nursing Certification provided through the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.

Jeremy Winget, Nurse Practitioner with the Intensivist Team, received his Adult Nurse Practitioner Certification provided through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Certification is an expert credential reserved for those who meet rigorous practice, continuing education and testing requirements in their specialty. Certification has been linked to fewer medical errors and increased job satisfaction and confidence.
