Thinking about becoming a Lifeguard? Get certified before the summer at the Hopedale Wellness Center! The Hopedale Wellness Center is offering a full certification, Red Cross Lifeguard course in January and February. Participants will become Lifeguard certified which includes CPR, First Aid, and AED certification through the American Red Cross.
Full certification classes will be offered on Sunday’s starting January 26th through February 16th from 10:00am-5:00pm. Course requirements include passing a swimming pre-test, attending all classes, and being 15 year of age by the last day of class. The cost is $350.00 and group rates are available. 
Please register for the class by January 20th, 2020 by calling the Hopedale Wellness Center at (309)449-4500 or by registering online at https://hopedalewc.clubautomation.com/. The course will be held in the 34,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art Hopedale Wellness Center in Hopedale, IL and the lifeguard skills will be practiced in the 25-yard junior Olympic size pool.

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. The contest runs from October 1st through October 31st. “This has been a very successful campaign for us,” said Bob Parkhurst, Goodwill Vice President. “We are grateful for Bradfield’s Computer Supply’s donation of a SMART Board each year. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
