Hopedale Wellness Center Celebrates Member Appreciation Month

Hopedale Wellness Center is celebrating its sixteenth anniversary on July 4, 2018. To celebrate HMC declared July as Member Appreciation Month! All month long there will be special events for community members, as well as exclusive giveaways and prizes for Wellness Center Members. Highlights include the 3rd Annual Reid Nannen Memorial 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk on July 4th at 7:30a, Free admission to the Wellness Center July 19 from 7:30a-5:00p, free Cholesterol Screening July 18 from 8-10am, and a community Blood Drive benefiting HMC on July 12 from 12-3:30pm.
Throughout July, Wellness Center Members will have opportunities to win prizes, such as a one hour massage, a Fitbit Versa watch, or a pair of Jaybird wireless headphones. Every Tuesday in July is Tasty Tuesday. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Sara Mathews will be providing healthy snacks for Wellness Center Members to enjoy. The Hopedale Wellness Center is a 34,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art fitness and wellness facility in Hopedale, IL. The aquatics area features a 25-yard junior Olympic pool with lap lanes, a warm-water therapy pool, and a large spa. Wellness Center Members receive discounts on services like massage therapy and nutrition consultations.

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. The contest runs from October 1st through October 31st. “This has been a very successful campaign for us,” said Bob Parkhurst, Goodwill Vice President. “We are grateful for Bradfield’s Computer Supply’s donation of a SMART Board each year. That prize really heats up the competition among the high schools.” Donations of items other than clothing are encouraged, but only clothing will count toward the contest. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
