Illinois Central College Offers Accelerated Course in Crappie Fishing Strategy This Spring

This spring, Illinois Central College Adult Community Programs will partner with Crappie University to offer an accelerated course in crappie fishing for all skill levels. The four-week course will meet on Tuesday nights, Feb. 13 through March 6, from 7:30 to 9:30 pm at Arbor Hall Auditorium on the Peoria Campus, located at 5407 N. University St., Peoria.

Participants will learn from pros and guides who make a living catching crappie. Instructors will discuss all the latest fishing techniques, from spider rigging and long-lining, to pushing crank baits and dock shooting.  All sessions are relevant to fishing in local waters and in a variety of conditions, ranging from fishing shallow to deep throughout the season.

Crappie University was established in 2015 in Oklahoma to educate anglers nationwide about crappie fishing. For more information, go online to crappieuniversity.com/about
