The Greater Peoria Environmental Science Society -March 16, 2017 Meeting-The Effects of Wildfires

Come learn the how wildfires effect our environment. While it is not always a great concern here in Central Illinois, wildfires even out west have a great impact on us. Come learn why wildfires occur and what we do to both prevent and fight wildfires. Children can join us for art and science activities, and adults can join us for a presentation / Q&A with Pekin Firefighter Brian Cox.  The Greater Peoria Environmental Science Society meets on March 16th at 6:00PM at The Mansion on Walnut,420 Walnut St in Pekin.

Meetings are set up in a family-friendly format where adults meet in the living room while a concurrent children's program occurs in the nearby dining room.  The adult program is formatted as a presentation and Q&A, while the children's program answers the same essential question through activities combining science and art.
