Public Open House Informational Meeting

For Improvement of Front Street

The City of Pekin will hold an Informational Meeting regarding the proposed improvement of Front Street from Distillery Road to Fayette Street. The informational meeting will be held at Pekin City Hall, 111 Capitol South Street, on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. All persons interested in this project are invited to attend this meeting. Persons with a disability planning to attend this meeting should contact one of the individuals listed below by April 10, 2017. If special accommodations are required, the contact person should be informed at the time of contact. The meeting room is accessible to persons with a disability.

The meeting will be conducted on an informal open house basis. Representatives of the City of Pekin and Hanson Professional Services, the city’s engineering consultant, will be available to discuss the project. Representatives will answer individual questions and record comments offered by those in attendance. Verbatim comments will not be recorded. The information will address topics such as the need for the project, the design alternative under consideration, and right-of-way acquisition. Preliminary reports, including environmental documents and an engineering analysis with drawings, maps, and aerial photography, will be available for inspection and viewing during the entire time.
