Goodwill Announces New Director of Retail

Goodwill Industries of Central Illinois has announced Mike Nauth as the organization's new Director of Retail.

Mike started his career with Goodwill Industries of Central Illinois in 2012 as the Pekin store manager. He was later promoted to one of the organization's district managers. Nauth attended Palm Beach State College and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1972 through 1977. Prior to management roles with numerous major organizations, he served as a police officer in Palm Beach, Florida.

"Mike's strength is his ability to manage people," said Don Johnson, Goodwill President and CEO. "He honed this skill with large organizations such as Nissan, where he worked prior to joining Goodwill. Mike understands both our shoppers and the individuals we serve."

"Goodwill is an amazing organization supported by amazing people," said Nauth. "Selling the items which have been donated and thus funding our free programs is something that I take very seriously. Our stores are staffed with members of the same communities that we serve and it gives me great pride to work beside them."

Goodwill Industries of Central Illinois offers a veterans program, a nationally recognized youth mentoring program and youth services geared toward establishing a career path. The non-profit also offers computer skills classes, a fork lift operation certification program, a veterans home, and much more.  All the services that Goodwill provides are free.

Goodwill is supported by the sale of donated goods throughout its 11 stores. Goodwill serves 21 counties within Central Illinois. More information can be found at www.goodwillpeo.org.
