Pekin Hospital Opens Pain Management Center
Pekin
Hospital is pleased to announce the opening of the Pekin Pain Management Center,
a balanced pain management center, on the hospital campus at 600 S. 13th
Street, Suite K. The clinic will be
staffed by Arek Grochowski, M.D., a fellowship trained pain management
specialist. To make an appointment with
Dr. Grochowski, please call (309) 353-0721.
The pain center will diagnose and
create individualized treatment plans for patients based on a number of
considerations, including the cause and level of pain. Acute and chronic pain
conditions treated at Pekin Pain Management Center include neck and back pain, headaches, fibromyalgia,
chronic pelvic pain, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), nerve damage, as
well as pain associated with arthritis, muscle spasms and shingles.
Dr. Grochowski is
fellowship trained in pain medicine at Christ Hospital & University of
Cincinnati and is a graduate of Medical Academy of Gdansk in Gdansk, Poland. He
completed his residency at Christ Hospital & University of Cincinnati.
“Millions of people
suffer from pain that affects their daily life, and they don’t know how to
begin treating it,” says Dr. Grochowski. “We provide some of the most advanced
treatments available today for acute and chronic pain—treatments that are more
tolerable and less invasive than in the past. Pain management is proven to get
people back to their everyday lives.”
“We are excited to offer this new
service to the Pekin area,” says Pekin Hospital CEO Bob J. Haley. “A balanced
pain management program not only keeps our patients healthy, but also makes our
entire community safer.”
