Tazewell County Jaycees to host Happy Hour Trivia Night

The Tazewell County will be hosting their monthly Trivia night on Thursday, June 13th at E.P’s Time Out in East Peoria.  Registration begins at 6 pm and game play will begin at 6:30 pm.  Admission is $10.00 for the General Public and $5.00 for Jaycee Members.   Proceeds from this night will help the Tazewell County Jaycees give back to community.  

There are 8 rounds of competition (Six regular rounds and 2 Speed Rounds).  You can bring a team, or come and join a team.  Winners get in free the next month and a Gift card donated by E.P’s TimeOut.  There is also a 50/50 drawing and door prizes.

The Tazewell County Jaycees is a leadership training organization for individuals age 18-40.  Jaycees programs stress the development of leadership and managerial skills through the running of projects that benefit the community.

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
