February Puttin' On Pekin

Nearly 100 chamber members and guests attended the February Puttin' on Pekin breakfast at the KC Hall.  The every-other-month breakfast is coordinated by Pekin 1st, a committee of the Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce.  Jason Ward earned the early prize and Matt Deverman blamed his father for winning the late prize.  Perry Martin, from the Mayor's Committee for Disabled Persons gave an update on the work they do.  Randy Price, owner of Enviro-Safe Refrigerants was presented with the Blue Ribbon Award, the Sunshine Award, was the Spotlight on Business, AND was the speaker.  His efforts to renovate several Pekin buildings, and the growth of his business, were deserving reasons for the recognition.   You can see more pictures from this event at:  http://picasaweb.google.com/PekinChamber
