Candlelight Service to Honor and Memorialize Those With Alzheimer’s

The Alzheimer’s Association-Central Illinois Chapter will hold its annual Candlelight Service at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15 at the Chapter office, 606 W. Glen Ave., Peoria. A night of fellowship and remembrance, the event is free and open to the public.

The community is invited to bring candles to light in honor or in memory of loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease. The hour long service will feature music, a speaker and recitation of the names of local residents who have lost their battle with Alzheimer’s in the last year. Refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the program.
