McDaniels Marketing Communications recently promoted Tracy Glass to senior writer/account executive.

A graduate of the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, Glass holds a bachelor’s degree in advertising and has over 23 years of experience in marketing communications. She has worked at McDaniels on many projects as a copywriter and account coordinator for a wide range of local, regional and national accounts in a variety of industries since 2002. In her new position, she enjoys the opportunity to manage several accounts, while continuing to develop creative strategies and concepts for clients.

McDaniels Marketing Communications draws on over 43 years of experience to help strategically plan and execute marketing tactics for companies and organizations throughout the Midwest. The agency also has client service offices in Rockford, IL and the Quad Cities.

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
