Regent Station Wins Awards

Regent Broadcasting of Peoria is proud to announce that 95.5 GLO (WGLO-FM) won a Silver Dome award from the Illinois Broadcasters Association.

During an awards ceremony on Wednesday, June 17th at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Peoria, Illinois, 95.5 GLO received a Silver Dome award for Best Self Promotion by a Radio station for the “The Eagles Rock Chicago” promotion.

“The Regent-Peoria stations and their talented Air Staff never cease to amaze me, with their drive for excellence and the support they get from the greater Peoria area. Having the right people in the right places makes my job easy.” states J.R. Greeley, Market Manager.

Matt Bahan, Regent-Peoria Operations Manager adds, “95-5, GLO is a legendary community driven radio staple to Central Illinois. We are very honored to receive this award from our distinguished fellow broadcasters!”

In addition to winning the award sister stations WZPW-FM and WFYR-FM were also nominated for Best Self Promotion and WVEL-AM for Best Use of New Media.

The Illinois Broadcasters Association is the leading advocate for the broadcast industry in Illinois. IBA is engaged in shaping public policy to create a positive legislative and regulatory environment for its members. The association assists its membership in continuing industry education, legal support services, compliance issues and public service outreach.
