I-74 lane closures set March 24

PEORIA   –   The Illinois Department of Transportation announces   that   lane closures, including a brief full closure, on westbound Interstate 74 near the I-74/474/Illinois 6 interchange (exit 87B) are set for the evening of March 24.   The lane closures are necessary for replacement of an overhead sign structure and will begin at approximately 7 p.m.  The full closure will be after 10 p.m. and last approximately 15 minutes.   Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. To avoid the work area, when feasible, use of alternate routes should be considered. BARD OPTICAL WELCOMES CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER, SHELLY RAPP

Bard Optical is delighted to announce the addition of Shelly Rapp as Chief Financial Officer.  Shelly has an extensive background in all aspects of accounting and finance as a CPA.  She holds a B.S. in Accounting from Bradley University and a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from University of Iowa.  In her most recent position with OSF as a Strategic Ambulatory Program Manager, she participated in several special projects improving reporting, analysis and internal processes.  Her experience also includes roles as an Auditor with CliftonLarsonAllen and KPMG in their healthcare groups.  Shelly enjoys spending time with her husband and kids and serving the community through her philanthropic efforts.  She volunteers her time as a tax preparer with the Center for Economic Progress.  She also serves as the Committee Chair for the Peoria Irish Fest and Chair of the McMahon-Illinois Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.  ...

  Session Update While no floor action is occurring, both the House and Senate held virtual committee hearings this week. Bills have still been debated and passed out of the various committees. Next week, both the House and Senate will continue virtual hearings. However, the Senate is scheduled to return to Springfield on Tuesday, March 9th. Illinois Democratic Party Elects New Chair Earlier this week, Illinois Democrats elected a new party Chair. Congresswoman Robin Kelly, a Member of the US House since 2013, currently represents the South suburbs of Chicago. Kelly was elected in a close vote over Chicago Alderman Michelle Harris.
