CASA of the Tenth Judicial Circuit Announces CASAblancaDancing with the Local Stars

CASA of the Tenth Judicial Circuit Circuit's premiere fundraising event, CASAblanca Dancing with the Local Stars, is going virtual for 2020! Join us online on November 7th from 7:00 – 9:00 PM for this unique and fun-filled event. Watch the dance competition and other entertainment and participate in the interactive online activities from the comfort of your own home.

Your virtual ticket will include access to the streaming site to watch the event from your phone, tablet, computer or even your Smart TV. You'll be able to cast your vote for the Critics' Choice Award, participate in the voting for the People's Choice Award by making a donation ($1 = 1 vote) and see the real-time results! Host a viewing party for 10 people or less (safely, please!) and be eligible for the Hilltop Wealth Management of Raymond James Viewing Host Award, presented to the Viewing Host that raises the most money. Individual tickets are $150 per person and the Viewing Host is $1,500 for 10 tickets.

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. The contest runs from October 1st through October 31st. “This has been a very successful campaign for us,” said Bob Parkhurst, Goodwill Vice President. “We are grateful for Bradfield’s Computer Supply’s donation of a SMART Board each year. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
