ICC Mechanical/Technical Recruitment Events

ICC is hosting informational events for potential students to learn how to attend college to earn a credential in mechanical/technical programs debt-free.

Tues., June 26 from 5 to 7 pm

Arbor Hall
ICC Peoria Campus
5407 N. University St., Peoria

OR

Fri., June 29 from 10 am to Noon
Agricultural and Industrial Technologies Bldg.
ICC East Peoria Campus
1 College Dr., East Peoria

Participants will learn more about the apprenticeship and sponsorship programs ICC has available in the mechanical/technical realm. The programs are a blend of valuable classroom (ICC handles the educational component) and hands-on work experience at the partnering companies.

The events will be held on two of ICC’s campuses on different dates to maximize exposure for people to hear about these opportunities. Participants will receive an overview from ICC Associate VP of Workforce Development Dr. Andrew Kerr of the program options, requirements and the application process. Representatives from ICC Admissions, Student Services and other supporting departments will be on hand to answer questions about the process.

This is part of ICC’s broader workforce initiative, where the college is partnering with businesses to fill skills gaps for high-demand jobs in the fields of manufacturing, IT and health care and increase the number of adults in the Greater Peoria region with a credential beyond high school. The industrial/manufacturing programs are the first step.
