Night Out Against Crime Needs Business Support

The Pekin Police Department is excited to announce our upcoming 15th annual Night Out Against Crime to be held on Thursday, October 19, 2017. This event is once again being held at the Avanti’s Dome, located at 3401 Griffin Ave., from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. The first hour will be private and open to families of sponsors as well as some special needs students from area schools.

Every year, we have the privilege of working with fine companies such as yours in Pekin to put on one of the largest FREE events for the public. However, this is far from just a free event. This is a chance for the public to connect with Public Safety workers in their communities, and for citizens to get important information for their families.

Our purpose for this event:
  • Focus on safety and security
  • Emphasize drug and alcohol prevention
  • Heighten crime awareness
  • Promote the partnership between the Police and the Community
  • Educate Pekin citizens about public health and safety services available in the community

In the past we have had carnival rides, bounce houses, a giant rock climbing wall, balloon artists, face painting, photo booth, and much more! We are hoping to be able to have the same this year.  We also have emergency vehicles on display and K9 demonstrations. Last year we had close to 4,000 people in the 3 hours! Every year we also give away several bikes and helmets.

It is generous giving from our business community that has allowed us to have such a HUGE success with this incredible event! We are seeking your help to make a huge impact in our community again this year by supporting this event. In order for us to fund this event, we are asking for last minute donations. If you can help, please send in your donation at any time.  Thank you in advance for your support of this important event!
