Adult Literacy Tutor Training

YWCA Adult Literacy needs volunteer tutors to help Tazewell County adults improve their basic reading, writing, math and English language skills. Volunteers are paired with compatible adult learners for twice-weekly tutoring sessions at locations, days and times convenient to them. No prior teaching experience is required.

Tutor training will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, July 19, 21, 26 & 28 from 9:00 a.m. – noon or 5:30 – 8:30 p.m at the YWCA of Pekin.  There is a $20 materials fee.
