Pekin Hospital, Progressive Health Systems Announce Six Sigma Green Belts

Pekin Hospital and Progressive Health Systems are pleased to announce that Beth Thomas, Director of Quality and Patient Safety, and Cora Hamilton, Quality Assurance Analyst, have earned their Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certifications.

Lean Six Sigma is a management approach that focuses on quality and efficiency. As part of the Green Belt certification process, Thomas and Hamilton completed an eight-week course to help develop the critical skills necessary for leading process improvement.
“This is an important achievement for our newly certified employees and the entire organization,” said Chief Executive Officer Bob Haley. “Our team is committed to continuous-improvement initiatives that will help us provide the best possible care and service to our patients and the community.”

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing.
