Vinyasa Yoga, Wine and Conversation

Get ready for an amazing yoga routine in the beautiful natural setting of the vineyard that melts always the calories and balances the mind. The session will be guided by The Yoga Projekt team from Junction City. Yoga and wine seem to go hand and hand for some reason. After the yoga session sit back and relax with some of Illinois finest wines. Engage in great conversation with the other participants and replenish those lost electrolytes with some amazing antioxidants! Spring Wine Sip Event
At The Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts

You're invited to attend the 3rd Annual Spring Wine Sip, an upscale social and networking event that includes food, wine samples, local art, and live music. Mackinaw Valley Vineyard is the event Wine Sponsor. and guests will enjoy complimentary wine samples and hors d'oeuvres and live jazz entertainment. Proceeds will provide college scholarships for local area graduating high school seniors. Since 1985, the Bloomington-Normal Alumni Chapter has presented over $30,000 in scholarships to local area graduating high school seniors. Mother's Day Masterpiece
Painting Classes at the Vineyard 
Sunday, May 10,
11:00 am-1:00 pm and 2:00pm-4:00pm
Mother's Day Masterpiece Painting Class at the Vineyard first session from 11am to 1pm. Art class taught by Artist Mandy Burge of Merlot and a Masterpiece.  Doors open one hour before the event at 10am, painting class starts at 11am. Three complimentary wine tastings are included, we will have cheese and crackers available from Ropp Cheese and also Chocolatier Chocolates as well as wine, beer.sodas, tea and water. No beverages may be brought in.  Fee includes all art supplies needed to create your own masterpiece, reservation required.

9th Annual International Music, Wine and Craft Beer Festival
  May 30 & 31 
 Saturday 11am to 11pm, Sunday Noon to 6pm

This year's festival this year will feature over 55 International wines and 55 Craft beers for tasting and purchase.  Morton Community Bank is again our corporate glassware sponsor and the Lions Club will be providing food concessions with the proceeds going for charity. Artisan cheese sampling and sales will be by Ropp Jersey Cheese in the pavilion. Saturday and Sunday there will be music performed throughout the day both days,  five bands.  $10pp admission includes a souvenir tasting glass and 5 tasting tickets for ages 21 and over, $5pp admission ages 13-20, age 12 and under free

We are excited to welcome everyone to the Vineyard again this year.  We have made some big changes to the tasting room and can't  wait for you to visit and enjoy a day in the country. Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. The contest runs from October 1st through October 31st. “This has been a very successful campaign for us,” said Bob Parkhurst, Goodwill Vice President. “We are grateful for Bradfield’s Computer Supply’s donation of a SMART Board each year. That prize really heats up the competition among the high schools.” Donations of items other than clothing are encouraged, but only clothing will count toward the contest. Only high schools are eligible, but others can participate including teachers, family and school supporters. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
