CenturyLink Announces New Business Account Manager in Illinois

CenturyLink, Inc. recently announced that Ben Teabout has joined the company as the business account manager. Teabout will be responsible for facilitating the sales of CenturyLink business products and services. This will include conducting on-site customer presentations in the Pekin, Galesburg, and Dixon markets.

Teabout previously worked at Carolina Telecom where he was responsible for managing the Durham, Wake Forest, and Raleigh territories. Ben has eleven years in the telecommunications industry where he has held a variety of positions including multi-unit management, team development and sales leadership. Teabout has a BA degree in Marketing from The University of Louisiana at Monroe.

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. The contest runs from October 1st through October 31st. “This has been a very successful campaign for us,” said Bob Parkhurst, Goodwill Vice President. “We are grateful for Bradfield’s Computer Supply’s donation of a SMART Board each year. That prize really heats up the competition among the high schools.” Donations of items other than clothing are encouraged, but only clothing will count toward the contest. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
