Pekin Hospital UrgentCare Now Offers Appointment Scheduling

In order to make an unplanned visit to the doctor more convenient, starting August 1, you can schedule your appointment with Pekin Hospital UrgentCare by calling (309) 353-0399.

Jo Ellen Patterson, Vice President of Patient Care Services explains its importance, “We understand our patients’ schedules are busy.  We do our best to be respectful of your time and keep wait times as short as possible. That's why Pekin Hospital’s UrgentCare now offers appointments that fit your schedule, so you can get the care you need without having to rearrange your activities or make costly visits to the Emergency Room.”

UrgentCare is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.  Walk-in service is also available for patients who prefer it.

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
