YWCA Honors

The YWCA of Pekin congratulates the 2008 Women’s Recognition Day award winners who were announced at the annual luncheon held at the Pekin Country Club on May 8, 2008. Adult winners in seven categories included:

Outstanding Employee Sheila Schumm

Sports Starr King
Community Service Roxanne Heiser
One Imperative Award Carl Cannon

In addition, thirteen students from Tazewell County schools were recognized for their leadership qualities. Those honored at the Women’s Recognition Day will inspire women of all ages to consider and prepare for a wider range of career opportunities.
